Graduating with a BFA in Theatre Arts from Memphis State University (now: The University of Memphis), Tim spent several years in the nightclub business working in promotions, entertainment coordination, and dynamics with companies such as McFaddden Ventures (well known for the 22 Confetti’s Clubs that were operating across the US at one time) and Hospitality Associates in Florida, rising to the position of Corporate Entertainment Director with Heartthrob Café and Philadelphia Bandstand based out of Chicago.

He then moved to New York City to pursue a career in Theatre and Film, where he found work on the “Off” Broadway circuit, in commercials, and in film (gaining membership in the Screen Actor’s Guild). Tim also worked behind the scenes as gaffer, assistant stage manager, lighting tech, production assistant, assistant production manager, and technical director.

Discovering the special events world, Tim excelled in the production and technical areas as technical director, master electrician, crew chief, production manager, and lighting designer. Although his work often blurs the lines between production management, technical direction, and lighting design, it is the latter that has captured his creative interests and has become the forerunner in his career.

Tim has designed and produced lighting for a myriad of national and international corporate meetings, product launches, award ceremonies, fund raisers, and theatre.
I don’t really like talking about myself, especially in an aspect of trying to “sell” myself. I will tell you that I really enjoy what I do. I know it’s a business, but I still approach it from an artist’s point of view. I am constantly asking myself, “How can I make it better?”

I have the greatest time working to achieve a vision, mine or my client’s, and challenging myself to always be growing. As my biggest clients (Kevin Verronneau of EDNY) has stated about me on many occasions, “He lives to light.” I worked with him consistently for over 15 years and he continued to tell people that I exceeded his expectations. I can’t think of anything I could say that speaks for my abilities or talents better than that. And, of course, there are the photos.

As for how I got to this point in my life, the following is a bio that was recently generated for a client’s publication.
